American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
Type of Support: One-on-One Support
The Survivor Outreach Program is a peer-to-peer support service for people who have lost a loved one to suicide. People who are interested in recieving support fill out a questionnaire about themselves and the loss that they experienced so they can be matched with a volunteer peer who has had a similar experience. Peer support can be offered in person on a limited basis, but most support is offered via telephone, video call, or email.
