Parent to Parent is a peer-based program offering support, resources, and education to parents of children with special health care needs or disabilities. Services include online and face-to-face parent support groups, access to resource library, information and referral line in English and Spanish, and one-on-one peer support with trained Support Parents.

Pathfinders

Pathfinders is a 10-week program that uses art, play, and activities to reach each person. While youth are in their groups, caregivers discuss the challenges of raising grieving children and recieve support for their own grief. This group provides education, coping skills, caregiving skills, and peer support.

The Empowerment Program

Open to Empowerment Program participants only. Pathway to Success uses a psycho-educational and skills-building approach to increase women’s understanding of the associations among addiction, trauma, mental health disorders, sexual risk behaviors, and financial stability.

The NoStigmas Peer Group is a private Facebook group for people to share experiences and ask questions related to mental health and suicide. Volunteer Support Navigators are around to make sure the group stays safe and positive.

Peer Support Specialist Training

CMWN’s Peer Support Specialist Training is for individuals living in recovery from mental health and substance use conditions who want to give back to people in early recovery by providing mutual support, service system navigation, and other services. The training is only open to people who have been in recovery for one year or more.

Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Class

Type of Support: Classes / Workshops / Training

Ten 2-hour meetings with a team of two peer mentors. For people with serious mental illness (SMI) who are interested in establishing and maintaining their wellness and recovery. Participants exit with an advance directive, relapse prevention plan, mindfulness exercises, and skills for working with providers and with the general public.
