Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)

Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) is a system of planning for wellness and recovery using only what works for the individual. In a group setting, participants learn to identify when they’re doing well and not well, make a plan for keeping themselves well, and prepare for possible crisis.

Legislative Advocacy Training

Legislative Advocacy Training is for individuals interested in learning to advocate for mental health, substance use, and other social issues in state legislature.

Peer Support Specialist Training

CMWN’s Peer Support Specialist Training is for individuals living in recovery from mental health and substance use conditions who want to give back to people in early recovery by providing mutual support, service system navigation, and other services. The training is only open to people who have been in recovery for one year or more.

Yoga for Mood Management

Yoga for Mood Management is a workshop or workshop series for individuals with depression, anxiety, or other mood regulation problems. The class involves both yoga/mindfulness education and time to share personal experiences and discuss the relevance of these practices in daily life. A single 2-hour workshop is $250 per person and a 4-session series is $800 per person.

Yoga for Stress Management is a workshop or workshop series for individuals struggling to manage situational and chronic stress. The class involves both yoga and meditation education and time to share personal experiences and discuss the relevance of these practices in daily life. A single 2-hour workshop is $250 per person and a 4-session series is $800 per person.

Yoga for Life Transitions

Yoga for Life Transitions is a workshop or workshop series for individuals going through challenging life situations like divorce, job loss, break-up, addiction recovery, or moving. The class involves both yoga education and time to share personal experiences and discuss the relevance of these practices in daily life. A single 2-hour workshop is $250 per person and a 4-session series is $800 per person.

Wellness Classes

Jefferson Center offers a variety of wellness classes each quarter that are free to Medicaid clients and $5-$10 per class for private insurance clients. Open to anyone recieving mental health services at JCMH.

Life Skills

Open to Empowerment Program participants only. Life Skills is a comprehensive group focusing on stress management, effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, time management, women’s health issues, banking & budgeting, support systems, and goal setting.

GED Education and Continuing Education

Open to Empowerment Program participants only. GED classes and one-on-one tutoring provided to all women. Post-secondary career counseling and assistance with enrollment into Community College and technical education programs also available.

Mental Wellness

Open to Empowerment Program participants only. Mental Wellness is a psycho-educational group focusing on strength-based learning. The purpose is to discuss factors to help achieve healthier states of mind such as humor exercise, self-appreciation, optimism, and leisure activities.
